I should be in bed sleeping or at least settling down with my three pages before I go to sleep. Instead I have been getting ready for the A to Z April Blogging Challenge 2011. This of course means making my blog life as well as my real life one as simple as possible. I hate to say it by reality was a little easier.
Outside the fact that I need to do a little bit basic house work that we all are guilty of neglecting I am good on the house work thing. That is the wonderful thing about just moving into a place. I have already done the hardcore stuff and will be good until summertime when I do my “Summer Blow Out Cleaning Spree” (I have decided that each season deserves their own G.I. party).
The blogging world is a bit harder. I did stage one tonight. In honor of A to Z April Blogging Challenge 2011(It’s not too late to sign up by the way. No pressure.)I changed my background with the ABC blocks that now can be seen. That wasn’t all that hard. The tough part was cutting down the blog list of all those I follow. I felt guilty about it but I knew it had to be done.
I combed through all the great blogs I have seen online over the last year and I did a mental thing similar to what one would do in real life. I labeled each one in one of three subjects: Can I learn from this blog? Does this blog entertain me? Or Is this a blog of a friend that I want to support writing wise?
After that was done I looked over all of those who had been writing in their blogs. If there hasn’t been a post since the New Year I dropped that blog. Not to be harsh but unless the writer had warned us all they were talking a break I felt it would be best to take them off the list.
So now I have gone from a little over a hundred blogs to forty-five. I will be setting up the new list on my sidebar tomorrow (In a couple hours by the time this is published). The whole point is very simple. I need to make room for those who are in the A to Z Challenge so I can read as many as possible and I want to be able to get to those blogs that get me through the day (I am hooked on Mean Girl Garageand Wait In The Van. I don’t want to miss a single post by either writers. Go check them both out to see what I mean but be warned they are both addictive with their views and humor).
So please bare with me. I am a work in progress. I should have everything together and polished (at least as much as I can be) by the end of the weekend. Thank you all for continuing to read my humble work and following me. It really fuels that inner muse that lurks within.
